Welcome to the Youth Munch in Leuven. We host cozy munches (casual chat evenings in a café) where you can reconnect with friends, meet new youngsters, and engage in discussions about BDSM and beyond. And don't worry, our conversations aren't exclusively about BDSM. All topics are welcome in our space! At our munches, we ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone.
Our munches are dedicated to the younger generation, individuals between the ages of 18 and 30. For those older, we invite you to join the Leuven Munch.
If you're new to our community and feeling a little unsure. We're here to guide you and answer any questions you may have. We even encourage you to bring along a friend, as long as they're comfortable with the potential conversation topics. Our primary goal is to create a safe and open space where everyone feels at ease.

What exactly is a munch?
A munch is an informal discussion evening at a café with other BDSM enthusiasts. During this evening we have conversations about BDSM/Kink-related topics that you might not easily share with non-BDSM people. Of course, discussions about other topics are also welcome. You can express your feelings, opinions, ideas, or questions about the Kink world without anyone judging you.
Consider it like a night out with friends. What makes the munch unique is the opportunity to talk freely about BDSM and meet like-minded people. If you don't know anyone yet, it is completely normal to join a conversation, we even encourage it.
If you are new and unsure where to start, do not hesitate to speak to one of the organizers. We are happy to help you take your first steps into the Kink world.
I am too shy/insecure/scared/... to come to a munch.
It's perfectly okay to feel a little nervous about attending your first munch, but know that you are not the only one. This munch is created to help newcomers with their first steps. We strive to make everything as accessible as possible.
If you have additional questions or if you are unsure, do not hesitate to send us a message. We are ready to answer your questions and help you feel more comfortable. If it helps, you are of course allowed to bring a friend. Just make sure they are aware of the potential conversation topics.
If you are at the munch and not sure where to start, go to one of the organizers. We will make sure that you can join a conversation that makes you feel comfortable.
What if I'm not sure whether BDSM/Kink is for me?
That's not a problem at all, you can always come to discover this. If you like it, you can go to more events and your BDSM chapter in life has begun. If it's not for you, you can leave at any time and at least you know for sure that it is (not yet) for you.
Can I also come if I have no experience in the Kink world?
Experience is not required to attend a munch. A munch is intended to meet new people, but also to discover new aspects of the Kink world. Everyone has to start somewhere and a munch is an ideal first step!
What if I no longer feel comfortable during the munch?
Please let us know if you feel uncomfortable, we are here to help you. If someone is bothering you or doing other inappropriate things, find one of the organizers and we will solve it for you. Want to go home? Of course, you are free to leave at any time.
What if I run into someone I know at a munch?
It's very understandable and logical that you might feel a little anxious if you run into someone you know. Know that we are all in the same boat, we all participate in BDSM in our own way. You can approach that person and make an agreement to keep this between the two of you.
I am 31+, can I still come to the munch?
We only allow people between the ages of 18 and 30. If you fall outside this age category but still want to attend a munch, we recommend the Leuven Munch. We make no exceptions to this rule. If your partner is older than 30 and you are younger, you are still welcome, but unfortunately, we cannot admit partners over the age of 30.
What if I don't know anyone at the munch?
Not knowing anyone is okay, you're stepping into a new environment or even a new world. You're always welcome to sit at a table or join a conversation. Remember that we are all people with a similar interest :). If you are too shy, you can approach one of the organizers and we would be happy to help you by, for example, introducing you to a group or table.
What is the dress code for a munch?
In order to make everyone feel comfortable and not to shock other café visitors, only casual clothing is allowed. Dress as you would for a normal night out.
How can I get involved in organizing the Youth Munch?

Is there food or drink at the munch?
The munch takes place in a café called Bar Rustic Leuven, you are responsible for paying for your own drinks. Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your own drinks, a small snack to share is allowed! Occasionally we offer treats such as cake, cookies or chocolates during the munch. If you're still hungry afterward, there are plenty of restaurants around the café. You can always leave the munch and then rejoin (of course, without bringing food into the cafe).
How do I get to the munch?
The munch takes place in a café called Bar Rustic (Oude Markt 50, 3000 Leuven) on the upper floor of the café. To get there, take the stairs located all the way on the right in the café and follow them to the top. There are several ways to get there:
By public transport
The café is a 15-minute walk from Leuven train station. If you come by bus, you can get off at the stop
Leuven Rector De Somerplein Perron A, B or C. From there, it's just a 3-minute walk.By car
Ladeuze Parking is a 7-minute walk from the café. The address is Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 20, 3000 Leuven. If you come by car, we recommend you park there.
By bike
There is a bicycle parking lot under Rector De Somerplein close to the Oude Markt. You can park your bike there for free for up to 72 hours, from there it's just a 3-minute walk to the café.
Carpooling
Don't have a car? Can't get home by public transport? You can still choose to carpool with other people. You can ask to carpool via the group Leuven en omgeving.. or via the channel
